Micheal Pritchard

Biography

Micheal studied at Rycotewood College, Thame Bishop Lonsdale College, Derby and Birmingham School of Art Education, achieving qualifications in Art/Design and a Batchelor of Teaching Degree.

He is an active member of several Art Societies relating to Fine Art and Printmaking, has exhibited in London, Birmingham and Manchester, staging several solo shows in Staffordshire and the West Midlands.

In his distinctive style he uses a structure of shapes, patterns and bold vibrant colours to create compositions, developing and evolving an appealing blend of creativity and technique. His ‘Industrial Heritage Portfolio’ defines the instantly recognizable symbol of the North Staffordshire Potteries. Linked with an appreciation of the contribution made by the artistic endeavours of the renowned ceramic industry designers.

Micheal enjoys celebrating his love of art by also visiting local schools in his area, giving talks and demonstrations about his practice, processes and inspirations.
